Since the first Harry Potter book was released, I’ve been addicted to the magic of Hogwarts (the clue’s in the name!). I was always first in line to buy the next one, eager to continue the story. By around book 4, I told my mum to start to read them too as I knew she would love them as much as I did. Instantly hooked, we’d spend hours talking over the stories (she’s still disappointed by the ending!!) and a life-long Harry Potter bond was formed!
As well as being fans of the books, we also love the movies too. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of them, “I’m Harry, just Harry” still gets me every time! We’ve both been dying to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour at Leavesden and finally booked to go this week.
When you arrive, you are welcomed by lots of huge photos of the cast (and some famous visitors) and a huge gift shop which you could spend a fortune in, buying everything from chocolate frogs to collectible books.
The tour is a MUST for any Harry Potter film fans. I don’t want to spoil it too much for you all but the highlights include: walking though the original film sets including Diagon Alley and the Great Hall, getting to see the actor’s costumes and props, riding a broomstick, tasting Butter Beer and knocking at number 4, Privet Drive.

I had such a lovely day with my Mum and it really is a great family day out. I was amazed to see such a range of ages enjoying themselves. It just shows how many lives Harry has touched.
